Hello.

Mostly self-taught since 2022 and still a hobbyist on a life-long journey to discover photography and its marvelous magick.

My first camera was a Sony A7C with a couple of prime lenses like the GM 24mm F1.4 and the 50mm F1.2 (which ended being one of my favorite focal length to use on the Sony system). Ever the workaholic, I only picked up a camera 'coz I wanted to take better photos of my artists (by trade, I was a major music label executive working in artist management, A&R and marketing for a good 8 years).

In May 2022, I saw a video by Peter McKinnon who bought a Leica Q2 Reporter and my photography journey forever changed. I sold all my Sony gear to fund my first Leica Q2 camera three months later.

Subsequently, I saw Paul Hepper on the Leica M6 campaign and started dabbling in film photography and bought my first film camera - the Yashica Electro GSN. I had read so much about film rangefinders that I even fixed a couple of Yashica GSNs and GTNs suffering from night leaks and pads of death. A few months later, I sold them all and bought a second hand Leica M6 TTL at a good deal that comes with a Summicron 35mm lens and started snapping a lot of BAD film photos. Thankfully, film is a very forgiving format, which you could see in some of my works during that era.

Since then, I’ve switched completely over to the Leica system and am currently shooting on:

  • Leica Q2

  • Leica M6 TTL 0.85

  • Leica Q3 43

  • Leica M11-P

  • Summicron 35mm F2

  • Summicron 50mm F2

  • Elmarit 28mm F2.8

No other camera brands inspire me to get out to shoot quite like Leica does. The company’s philosophy, legacy, heritage, product design and engineering are just some of the reasons why I love their cameras and lenses with a deep passion.

Just to diversify a little, I also own a Mamiya 6 and a Yashica YE that I sometimes use so I could practice my medium format and Sunny 16 on film.
